A wedding and a custom

I'm rather close to my relatives in Malaysia, the family from my maternal side. On the first week of this month, i was back to my grandma's house in Segamat to attend my cousin's wedding (finally he's married at the age of 31, with the permission from his Ci Xi empress, mother).

I rushed there from school, whereby my class finished at 5pm. I took bus 170 all the way to Woodlands checkpoint. Upon reaching Larkin Interchange in Johor Bahru at 7.30pm, i found that all the tickets to Segamat were totally sold out. However, i was approached by a taxi driver who offered to drive me to Segamat for RM45. Of course, i have to wait for 3 more people to take up the same offer before we can go. I waited with another girl whom i dunno for an hour plus, without success. Just when the driver found 2 ladies to take up the offer, a bus company 'suddenly' have tickets for sale. However, this time the price of the ticket doubled from RM12.50 to RM25, and the bus timing was at 9pm. With the 3 ladies going for that offer, leaving me stranded, i decided to take up that offer as well.

i reached my grandma's house at 12.15am, and found that the 2 tentages built in front of the house were so beautiful. They were in pink and red. These tentages somehow, remind me of the white tentages that were in the same place some 8 months ago when my grandpa passed away. Anyway, choi!!! lol... That night, my relatives had a pleasant surprise for my 3rd uncle, whose birthday happens to fall on that day.

I was assigned the 'camara man', even thou i'm not a professional one. Yes, there's one in the bride's side, but i have to do a video recording of the event on the day. There's only an extra battery thou, as my uncle forgot to bring the charger.

I never slept for the night, getting ready at 4am, before moving off in 4 cars at 5am. I was in this porton gen 2, and their speed on the road from Segamat to kluang was devil-ish. the top speen going at 160km/hr on the small roads, overtaking cars at will. The bride's car, also, playing the show "Fast and Furious 5".

We reached the bride's house at 6.20am. Very early, but with the breakfast + waiting + neverending games + waiting +waiting + waiting + waiting = sun already almost a quarter up in the sky.

We flew back at that speed again. And know what? i was dead tired, dosed off on the sofa before retreating to the room to sleep and sleep. lol..

Anyway, we had vegetarian for the whole day, and of course, my favorite ayam special from the stall at the roadside when the clock struck 12. haha...

So below are the photos, as i'm lazy to narate thru the whole process. =p

The newly wed offering tea to my grandma; notice how much my grandma has aged from all my previous photos posted?
The bride and the bridegroom (my cousin).

See me faithfully doing my task in the background? This is the tea custom in Kluang, the bride's house. How generous of the bride's mum to cook up deserts and breakfast for us and also giving each of us a red packet.. lol

well, this pretty lady on the left in my cousin, also the bridegroom's sister. The gorgeous lady, who is the most beautiful lady in the world, of course is my mum.. hehehe =p

My cousn and me. This photo was uploaded into the facebook, and i received some comments and messages from concerned friends asking me if i had married? lol.. probably the culprit in this photo for that misconception is that 喜喜.

Okie, thats us again.....
And here, u can see my 'cute' sister with my cousin.
